Requirements for WhatsApp setup
Before starting the setup, please ensure that these items are present:
- a fully functional and verified Facebook account with admin rights.
- a telephone number (mobile phone or landline) This must not yet be stored with any WhatsApp account. The number must be available in the onboarding call to receive a verification code via SMS or phone call. This is also the number that the customer then sees in WhatsApp, so we recommend that the number can also be reached afterwards (call center, etc.).
- a credit card. This is then used to set the WhatsApp fee of 15€ per month with our partner Dialog360. WhatsApp will also use this to charge further WhatsApp fees if they apply. (See point 2)
Start the WhatsApp setup
1. Start at Qualimero
Under Settings → WhatsApp → Connect with WhatsApp, the WhatsApp setup can be started from the Qualimero software.
2. Create an account with Dialog360
In order to be able to use WhatsApp, a basic membership with a BSP is required. This provides the WhatsApp API; at Qualimero, the BSP is Dialog360.
The next step is to create an account with Dialog360. In a later step, the WhatsApp profile can also be managed via this account.
3. Choosing membership and payment for WhatsApp
In order to be able to use WhatsApp, a basic Dialog360 membership of 15€ net per month is required. Please complete this and pay by credit card. Additional WhatsApp costs are also automatically billed via the credit card if they arise.
4. Create the number
The next step is to create the number and start the SignUp process
5. Connection to the Meta Business account
Now please log in to the Meta Business account, in which the WhatsApp account should also be created.
6. Create a WhatsApp account
The next step is to create the WhatsApp account.
6.1 Select a business account
Business portfolio: Please select the right business account here
Business name: Enter the official name of the company here (company name)
Business website: Please enter the company's website here
6.2 Create a WhatsApp business account
Here you can choose whether a new WhatsApp business account should be created or whether the number should be added to an existing account.
In most cases, both should be re-created.
6.3 Create a WhatsApp profile
In this step, we now create the WhatsApp profile, which the customer sees when they click on the company profile in WhatsApp.
WhatsApp business account name: This name is not visible to the customer but for the internal description of the WhatsApp account
6.3 Select and verify a number
In the next step, we select the number once and also choose how we want to verify the number.
IMPORTANT: Once the next step is selected, you have exactly 2 minutes to enter the verification code. Please be quick and make sure that the line is available and not busy.
💡 If the code cannot be entered the first time, the process may crash and have to be started again at point 1.
7. Authorize Qualimero
After the code has been entered and the account has been confirmed, the meta window can be closed.
LAST STEP: Please wait in the Dialog360 window until you can authorize Qualimero and execute it.
💡 This can take a few minutes and it looks as if the window has crashed. Please wait patiently until authorization is possible.
