Qualimero Receives the Go-to-Market Voucher of North Rhine-Westphalia

Qualimero Technologies GmbH received funding for the development of its AI advisor through the Go-to-Market Voucher of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The funding was provided from the ERDF/JTF Programme NRW and was co-financed by the European Union and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The "Qualimero AI Advisor" Project
The goal of the project was to develop an AI-powered advisor for explanation-intensive consumer products. Qualimero enables retailers to offer their customers expert product consultation, customer service, and lead qualification around the clock — trained for specific industries, GDPR-compliant, and integrated into the respective shop and backend systems.
Objectives of the Funding
- Development of a market-ready AI advisor platform for DACH retailers
- Integration with shop systems (Shopware, Shopify, etc.) and multichannel deployment (web chat, email, WhatsApp, voice)
- Industry-specific pre-training for gardening, plant protection, heating systems, and other explanation-intensive product areas
- Establishment of GDPR-compliant operations based in North Rhine-Westphalia
Results Achieved
The project was successfully completed. The AI advisor was developed from a prototype to market readiness and is in productive use with several paying business customers.
- Market-ready AI advisor platform with a multi-agent architecture
- Production vector database for real-time product search across large catalogs
- Retrieval-augmented generation with hybrid search (semantic and keyword-based) for fact-grounded answers
- Chat widget for seamless integration into shop systems; delivery via web chat, email, WhatsApp, and voice
- Two new jobs (full-time equivalents) created at the North Rhine-Westphalia location
